How to cancel your subscription

Where you cancel depends on where you subscribed — through Apple, or through our web billing portal.

Where you cancel depends on who bills you, and that is decided by where you first subscribed. Subscribe in the iPhone or iPad app and Apple bills you. Subscribe on Android and Google Play bills you. Subscribe on the web and we bill you directly, through Stripe.

⚠️ Only the collection owner can manage the subscription. If you are an admin or a collaborator, the app tells you to contact the owner — there is nothing you can change from your side.

We cannot cancel an Apple or Google subscription for you. Both tie the purchase to your own Apple Account or Google account, so if you subscribed on a phone or tablet, the steps below are the only way.

First, find out who bills you

Profile → your collection → Subscription

In the iPhone or iPad app, tap Profile in the bottom bar, tap your collection, then tap Subscription. The row shows your plan and the date it renews — or the date it cancels, if it is already on its way out. Tapping it takes you to the right place to manage it.

app.invintory.com → Settings → your collection → Subscription

The web app is the quickest way to find out who bills you. If the Subscription row reads “Your subscription was issued via the App store” or “…via the Play store”, that store bills you and the web app cannot touch it. If the row is instead clickable and opens a billing portal, we bill you.

If Apple bills you

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.

  2. Tap your name at the top.

  3. Tap Subscriptions.

  4. Tap InVintory.

  5. Tap Cancel Subscription. You may need to scroll down to find it.

Or go straight to apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions in a browser.

If there is no Cancel Subscription button, or you see an expiry date in red, the subscription is already cancelled and will simply run to the end of the period.

For anything Apple-side — including refund requests, which only Apple can approve — see Apple's own guide to cancelling subscriptions.

If Google Play bills you

  1. Open the Play Store app and tap your profile icon.

  2. Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.

  3. Tap InVintory, then Cancel subscription.

Or go straight to play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Refunds for a Play subscription are Google's to approve, not ours.

If we bill you directly

Subscriptions started on the web app are billed through Stripe, our payment processor, and you manage them in the billing portal:

  1. Go to app.invintory.com/settings and sign in.

  2. Click your collection.

  3. Click Subscription. The billing portal opens.

The portal is also where you update your card, download invoices, and see your next billing date. On Android, the same portal opens inside the app — which happens if you started your subscription with a promo code rather than through Google Play.

On Elite, email us instead. The app does not open a portal for an Elite subscription — it points you at support@invintory.com, and we will walk you through it.

What happens after you cancel

You keep your paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for — cancelling does not cut you off immediately. After that your collection moves to the free plan.

Your wine is not deleted. Every bottle, review, and photo stays in your collection. Some features become limited on the free plan, and everything comes back if you resubscribe.
