How to Start a Chat
From the home screen, tap Chat under "Vincent - Your AI Sommelier." This opens a conversation where you can type or speak your questions.

The Chat Interface
The chat works like a messaging app. Type your question at the bottom and Vincent will respond with detailed answers. Vincent can:
Read responses aloud — Toggle the speaker icon to hear Vincent's answers
Show wine references — When Vincent mentions wines from your collection, you can tap to view them
Attach images — Send a photo of a wine label or wine list for Vincent to identify
Remember context — Vincent keeps the conversation history so you can have back-and-forth discussions
Ask Vincent About a Specific Wine
When viewing any wine in your collection, you can tap Ask Vincent to start a conversation about that specific wine. You'll see quick-prompt suggestions like:
"Will I enjoy this wine?"
"What should I pair with this?"
"Is this worth cellaring?"
"How should I serve this?"
Or type your own question — Vincent will answer in the context of that specific wine.

Setting Your Preferences
Vincent can give better recommendations when he knows your taste. In the chat, tap the settings icon to set your wine preferences — favorite regions, preferred styles, budget range, and more. This helps Vincent personalize every recommendation to your palate.
Message Limits
The number of conversations you can have with Vincent depends on your subscription plan. Free users get a limited number of chats. Premium and Elite subscribers get significantly more.
Each new conversation topic counts as one chat. Follow-up messages within the same conversation don't use additional chats.
Tips
Be specific — "Recommend a wine for a casual Tuesday dinner under $30" gets better results than "What should I drink?"
Mention the occasion — Vincent tailors recommendations for dinner parties, celebrations, casual evenings, and more.
Ask about your collection — Vincent knows every wine you own, so ask about your specific bottles rather than wines in general.
Use Speak mode when cooking — Hands-free voice interaction is perfect when you're in the kitchen preparing a meal.
Set preferences — The more Vincent knows about your taste, the better his recommendations get.
