How to report wine information

Tell us when a wine's name, producer, country, region, grapes or label photo is wrong — the six fields you can correct, and how you hear back.

Open the wine, tap and choose Report, turn on whatever is wrong, type the correction and tap Next. Our team reviews it and tells you when the fix goes live.

💡 A correction fixes the wine for everyone. Wine details are shared across InVintory rather than held per collection, so an accepted report improves that wine for every collector who owns it.

What you can report

Six things, and only these six. The apps and the web app name two of them differently:

In the apps

On the web

What to send

Image

Label image

A photo of the front label

Name

Wine name

As it reads on the bottle

Producer

Producer

The winery or estate

Country

Country

Where it is made

Region

Region

Region or appellation

Grapes

Grapes

Varieties, comma separated

Anything else goes to us by email. A missing vintage, a drink window, an alcohol figure, a market price or a duplicate entry cannot be sent from this screen — write to support@invintory.com and we will sort it out.

On iPhone and iPad

  1. Open the Collection tab and tap the wine.

  2. Tap in the bar at the bottom, then Report.

  3. Turn on every field that is wrong, then tap Next.

  4. If you turned on Image, tap the Front Label box and take or choose a photo.

  5. Each remaining field gets a screen showing the value we hold above your correction. Type the right one and tap Next.

  6. We got your report means it is in.

Collection → the wine → ⋯ → Report → turn on fields → Next

The wine's Wine Guide offers the same thing as Report incorrect data, on the menu beside its Region, Producer and Grapes sections.

On Android

Open the wine, tap , then Report incorrect data. The same screens follow in the same order.

Collection → the wine → ⋯ → Report incorrect data

On the web

On app.invintory.com, open the wine and click the button beside Save to list, then Report incorrect data. Everything sits on one form here: tick a box and a Correct… field opens under it, then click Send. Tick nothing and it answers Oops, at least one option must be selected.

What happens next

Each field you filled in becomes its own item on one report, and our team accepts or declines them one by one — so a report can be part accepted.

When an item is accepted you get an email and an in-app notification reading The issues you reported were resolved, and the wine changes for everybody. Those sit in the Wine submissions category of your notification settings.

If there is no Report option

Report only appears on wines already in our catalogue. A wine you submitted yourself is still being checked, so there is nothing to correct yet — what you sent is already in the queue.
