Tags are your own coloured labels, created once for a collection and then applied to individual bottles. Manage the list at Collection settings → Customization → Tags, or from the Tags row on any bottle.
Tags are not decoration. Anything you can say with a tag becomes something you can filter on, save as a quick filter, show under every wine, print on a barcode label and export.
What a tag is
A tag is a name and a colour from a fixed palette. Two things matter before you invent a system:
Tags belong to bottles, not to wines. Tag three of your six bottles of the same wine and leave the rest alone.
The list is shared. Everyone with access sees the same tags.
Tags work on every plan. If a collection reaches its tag limit, Create new tag shows an upgrade screen instead of the form, and existing tags keep working.
Create a tag
From the home screen, tap your collection name, then Collection settings.
Under Customization, tap Tags.
Tap Create new tag.
Enter a Name, pick a Color, and tap Create.

Apply a tag
The Create new tag button appears wherever you pick tags, so you can invent one as you go.
One bottle — open it, tap Edit, use the Tags row.
As you add wine — the add-bottle form has its own Tags row.
A whole case — select bottles, then tap Tags in the bar at the bottom.

Renaming and deleting
Renaming or recolouring a tag takes effect on every bottle carrying it, so a system you outgrow can be relabelled rather than rebuilt.
Deleting needs care. On iPhone and iPad the confirmation tells you how many bottles the tag will come off and makes you type DELETE, because it cannot be undone. Your bottles are untouched — only the tag goes.
On Android and on the web
Android creates, edits, deletes and applies tags the same way. Tagging a batch of selected bottles isn't there yet.
On app.invintory.com, go to Settings, click your collection, then Tags under Customization.
Managing the list from Collection settings is limited to the owner and admins. Editors can still apply existing tags.
