To set your own drink window, open the wine's Wine Guide, find the Drink window section and edit it from the … menu.
What your edit changes
Your years are saved against that wine and that vintage, for the whole collection. Every bottle of that vintage picks them up, everyone who shares the collection sees them, and they stay put through every later update we make to our own data — until you reset them. The section renames itself to Custom drink window so you can tell at a glance that the years are yours.
You need edit access to change it. If you were added to someone else's collection as a viewer, the option is there but disabled.
On iPhone and iPad
Open the Collection tab and tap the wine.
Tap Wine Guide.
Scroll to Drink window and tap the … button beside it.
Tap Edit drink window.
Drag either end of the slider, or type years into the From and To fields.
Tap Save.
There is a shortcut: on the wine's own page, tap the drink window bar under the bottle name and the same editor opens.
On Android
Open Collection and tap the wine.
Tap Wine guide.
Scroll to Drink window and tap the … button.
Tap Edit drink window, then Set window.
Set the years and tap Save.
On the web app
At app.invintory.com you can do it in two places.
In the collection table, find the Window column and click the years — they are underlined with a dotted line. Type into From and To and click Save. The popover shows what we recommend, so you can see what you are replacing. If the wine has no window yet, click the + button to add one.
Or click the bottle, click Wine guide, and use the … menu on the Drink window section.
Putting our years back
Reopen the editor and choose Reset — Reset to default on Android and the web app. On the web app you can also pick Reset to InVintory data straight from the section's … menu. The wine goes back to our window and starts tracking our updates again.
