InVintory barcode labels are stickers you print onto Avery label sheets and put on your bottles. Scan one with the app's camera and it opens that exact bottle.
⭐ Requires a paid plan. On Free, Print Labels shows an upgrade prompt instead of opening.
This is our barcode, not the one already on the bottle. The scanner reads the 10-character code InVintory generates for each of your bottles. It cannot read a commercial UPC barcode — point the camera at one and it will ask you to photograph the label text instead.

A printer | iPhone, iPad and Android hand the sheet to your device's own print dialog, so the printer has to be set up there already. No printer to hand? Use the web app — it gives you the PDF as a file you can print anywhere. |
On iPhone & iPad
Open your collection and tap the circle beside each wine you want, or Select all.
Tap the … button beside Remove, then Print Labels under Export.
Choose Sheet — pick your paper. This decides the grid in the next step.
Customize Cells — every cell starts ticked. Tap the cells you have already peeled off a part-used sheet so they get skipped. Skips apply to every sheet in the job.
Layout — choose the Print order (Wine name, alphabetical by wine then vintage, or Cellar location, grouped by cellar, section then position) and up to four details.
Print Preview — load the sheets, check the layout, then tap Print.
Vintage year, label name and the barcode are always printed, so your four choices are extras on top: bottle size, location, region, purchase price, market price, drink window, tags and more, plus any custom label or bottle fields you have created.
You get one label per bottle, each with its own barcode — six bottles of the same wine means six different labels.

On Android
The same four screens, reached the same way. Select your bottles, tap …, then Print Labels. Android only offers it from the collection selection bar, not from a single wine's page.

On the web
Go to app.invintory.com, select bottles or filter your collection, then use the Print barcodes button above the table. Filter and select nothing and it prints your whole collection.
The web app builds the PDF on our servers rather than printing directly, so the last step is Confirm & Download. Generating can take a few minutes; you can close the window and a notification will tell you when it is ready, with Download and View buttons.
Scanning a label
Open the camera and point it at an InVintory label. The same scanner that reads label text reads our barcodes too, so there is no mode to switch — a match opens the bottle straight away. The Remove bottles screen has its own Scan InVintory Barcode button, which is the quickest way to log a bottle you are opening tonight.
Every bottle's detail page lists its Barcode and a shorter Bottle Code for looking it up by hand.
