How to edit ABV

Correct a wine's alcohol by volume on iPhone, iPad, Android or the web app, and reset to ours when you want.

To correct a wine's alcohol by volume, open its Wine Guide, find the Structure section and choose Edit ABV from the menu.

What your edit changes

Your figure is saved against that wine and that vintage, for the whole collection — every bottle of it, for everyone who shares the collection. It sits over our figure rather than replacing it, so it survives every later update we make and you can put ours back at any time.

You need edit access to change it. Viewers on someone else's collection see the option greyed out.

On iPhone and iPad

  1. Open the Collection tab and tap the wine.

  2. Tap Wine Guide.

  3. Scroll to Structure and tap the button beside it.

  4. Tap Edit ABV.

  5. Set the percentage in the Alcohol by Volume sheet and tap Save.

On Android

  1. Open Collection and tap the wine.

  2. Tap Wine guide.

  3. Scroll to Structure and tap the button.

  4. Tap Edit ABV, set the percentage and tap Save.

On the web app

At app.invintory.com there are two routes.

  1. In the collection table, scroll across to the ABV column and click the value — it is underlined with a dotted line. Type the new percentage and click Save. While you type it shows you what our data says. If the column is empty, click the + button to add a figure.

  2. Or click the bottle, click Wine guide, and use the menu on the Structure section.

Putting our figure back

Reopen the editor and choose ResetReset to default on Android and the web app. The wine reverts to the figure we hold and picks up our updates again.
