In your Collection, select the bottles you want to move, tap ⋯, tap Edit, change Storage and tap Save. Everything you did not touch stays as it was on each bottle.
⚠️ Moving a bottle to a different storage clears its 3D slot position. The bottle keeps its code, price, notes and tags — it just arrives unplaced, ready to be put into a slot in its new home. On iPhone and iPad, moving ten or more bottles asks you to type CONFIRM for exactly this reason. Android and the web do not ask, but the slots are cleared just the same.
Move a group of bottles
Open the Collection tab. Narrow the list first if it helps — the Storages chip filters it to one storage.
Tap the circle on a row to take all of that wine’s bottles, or tap Select all to take everything in the filtered view.
In the action bar at the foot of the screen, tap ⋯, then Edit.
Tap Storage and pick the new one.
Tap Save. If you are moving ten or more, type
CONFIRMand tap Confirm.
Collection → Storages → pick a storage → Select all → ⋯ → Edit → Storage → Save
Edit handles up to 500 bottles at a time, so a large storage takes a few passes. Filter to a wine type or a tag, move that batch, then move the next.
Emptying one storage completely
What you want | What to do |
Move the wine out and keep the storage | Filter the Collection to that storage, Select all, then Edit as above |
Move the wine out and delete the storage | Open the storage, tap ⋯, tap Delete, then Transfer n Bottles and choose where they go |
The transfer offered while deleting always takes the whole storage with it, and it moves every bottle to one destination. It is the fastest way to consolidate two storages into one; it is not a way to tidy up a storage you want to keep.
One bottle at a time
Open the wine, select just that bottle, and tap Edit in the action bar — the same form, one bottle. Useful when one bottle has moved rather than a whole case.
Android and web
Android has the same selection footer and the same Storage field in the bulk edit form.
On app.invintory.com, tick the rows, click Edit, and set Storage. Where the selected bottles disagree on a field, that field sits collapsed behind Click + to replace mixed content — so you can see exactly what you are about to overwrite before you do it.
