Activity is a dated log of every bottle that has entered, left or moved inside your collection, and who did it. It is the answer to "where did that bottle go?" and, on a shared collection, "who moved it?"
It tracks bottles, and only bottles. Editing a wine's price, writing a tasting note, building a rack or renaming a cellar leaves no entry — so if something is missing from the log, it is almost certainly because it was not a bottle coming, going or moving.
Where to find it
Home → Recent Activity → View all
On Home, Recent Activity shows the last three things that happened; View all opens the full screen, which is titled Activity. On iPad it is a History tab in the left sidebar. Any single wine also has its own log — open the wine and choose History from its ⋯ menu.
On Android, tap Activity in the Management block on the home screen. On app.invintory.com, Activity is an entry in the left-hand nav.
What gets logged
Entry | What happened |
Added | Bottles came in — by search, by scan, or as part of an import |
Consumed | You drank them |
Consumed not in collection | You logged drinking a wine you did not own — from a restaurant list, or a bottle someone else opened |
Sold · Gifted | Bottles left for those reasons |
Removed | Bottles left for any other reason. In practice this row is named after the reason you picked, so you see Broken, Expired, Donated or Missing rather than the word "Removed" |
Moved | Bottles changed cellar or fridge. Repositioning a bottle within a 3D rack is not logged |
Changed | A bottle was pointed at a different wine — the fix when a scan matched the wrong label |
Android and the web say Deleted where iPhone and iPad say Removed. The entries themselves are the same.
📦 Deliveries do not show up here. Adding wine to a pending delivery, or taking it out again, is left out of the log on purpose — bottles in transit are not in your collection yet. Added to Deliveries and Removed from Deliveries appear in the filter list, but selecting them returns nothing. The delivery's own screen is the record of what is on its way.
Reading an entry
Entries are grouped under the date they happened on. Each one reads as a sentence — "Josh added 2 bottles" — beside the person's avatar and the time of day, then the wine's vintage and name, then a line giving the bottle size and the storage involved, such as "750ml • 2 bottles added to Main Cellar". If the bottle carries a review, its reaction and a Repurchase or No Repurchase badge sit alongside.
Tap an entry to open that bottle. An entry covering several bottles opens one of them rather than the whole batch, so use the entry itself to read the count.
Narrowing it down
Search the log by wine name, and tap Filter for the rest. As well as Event type and Collaborator, you can filter by Removal type, by your own Reaction and Re-purchase answer, and by the same wine attributes you use elsewhere — Wine type, Grapes, Countries, Regions, Vintage, Size, Tags, Source, and purchase or market price. The web version adds a Date Range, which the apps do not have.
Two things worth knowing: the Collaborator filter is greyed out until someone else has access to the collection, and nothing is ever aged out of the log — it goes back as far as your collection does, and a cellar you have since deleted keeps its history.
