Open your collection's settings, tap Collaborators, tap Invite, then enter their email address and pick a role — we email that person a 6-digit code, and they enter it in InVintory to join. Only the collection's owner or an admin can do this.
💡 Collaborators are included on every plan, including free. Sharing a collection is not a paid feature, and there is no limit on how many people you can invite. The Collaborators screen is where you add someone, change a role, or remove access.
The invite is a code, not a link. The email we send contains a 6-digit code and nothing to tap. The person you invite needs their own InVintory account, then joins from Settings → Join a new collection by typing the code in. It works once and expires after 30 days; resending replaces it.
On iPhone and iPad
Profile → your collection → Collaborators → Invite
Tap Profile in the bottom bar, then tap the collection you want to share.
Tap Collaborators.
Tap Invite in the top right.
Type their email address and choose a Role.
Tap Send.
They sit under Invited until they redeem the code. Swipe them to Resend or Revoke. Once they join they move to People with access and we email you.
On Android
Settings → your collection → Collaborators → Invite
Same screen, same fields.
On the web app
app.invintory.com → Settings → your collection → Collaborators
Click Add another collaborator, enter the email address, choose a role and click Send.
What each role can do
Role | What they can do |
Admin | Everything you can, including inviting and removing other collaborators. Only the owner can change the plan, clear the collection's contents, or hand over ownership. |
Editor | Add, edit, drink and remove bottles, and build storages. Can't invite or remove anyone. |
Viewer | Browse, search and find bottles. Can't add, drink or remove anything. |
To change a role or revoke access, tap the person in the Collaborators list. Owner isn't a role you can hand out here — see How to change a collection's owner.
Anyone you add gets that collection's paid features while they're in it, whatever plan their own collection is on.
