Open the bottle, tap Edit, tap Size, pick the volume and tap Save. Size belongs to the individual bottle, not to the wine — so a magnum and a half-bottle of the same vintage can sit happily in the same collection.
💡 This is the field that decides which market price applies. We hold prices per format, so a magnum is valued as a magnum. Get the size wrong and the value is wrong.
Changing an existing bottle
Open the Collection tab and tap the wine.
Tap the bottle you want to change.
Tap Edit.
Under Bottle info, tap Size.
Pick the volume from the list and tap Save.
The list is volumes rather than names — 750ml is the standard bottle, 1.5L is a magnum — and it runs from miniatures up to the very large formats. New bottles start at 750ml until you change them, and you can set the size on the way in rather than fixing it afterwards.
What changes when the size changes
Market price | The bottle picks up the price for its new format. Where we hold no price for that exact format we scale our 750ml figure to the volume and add a premium, so a magnum lands a little above double. |
The wine's headline price | The figure on the wine is the size you own the most of. Every other size you own shows underneath as its own line, so a case of 750s and one magnum reads as two prices. |
Your own custom price | A custom market value is saved against one wine, one vintage and one size. Move a bottle to a different format and your figure no longer applies to it — set one for the new size if you want it. |
Filters and exports | Sizes is a filter in Collection Filters, the bottle count on a collection row breaks down by size when you tap it, and the CSV carries a Size column — the by-label export splits a wine into one row per storage and size. |
What does not change: the bottle stays on the same row, because the collection groups by wine and vintage rather than by format, and its 3D slot is left where it is. Moving a bottle to a different row is the vintage's job.
Several bottles at once
Select the bottles, tap ⋯ → Edit, then change Size and tap Save — see How to bulk edit bottles. One catch on iPhone and iPad: when the selection already holds more than one size the field opens at 750ml, and nothing is sent unless you change it, so 750ml is the one value you cannot apply that way. Filter to a single size first, or change those bottles on app.invintory.com, where a mixed field says so outright.

Web: app.invintory.com → the wine → tick the bottle → Edit → Size
Changing a size needs edit access — a viewer can see the field but not change it.
