A slot is one bottle position inside a rack: you shape a section's slots with its column, row and depth counts, then adjust individual slots from the gear icon at the top right of the Customize Section screen.
⭐ Requires Premium. On Free, a storage shows an upgrade card instead of its sections list. Every paid plan gets unlimited sections.
The controls are not at the bottom of the screen. Customize Layout is the web and Android wording; on iPhone and iPad the two options live behind the gear icon, top right.
Direction is cosmetic. It only changes how bottles are drawn — the screen says so itself: "This is only for aesthetics purposes." It has no effect on coordinates or on finding a bottle. If no picture matches your rack, pick either one.

On iPhone and iPad
Open the storage from Storages, then tap Create under Sections — or the menu on an existing section, then Modify.
Pick Rack or Bin, then a slot type, then a bottle direction.
Build the whole grid first with the Column, Row and Depth tabs (depth 2 = two bottles front-to-back). The 3D model takes a few seconds to rebuild after each change.
Tap the gear icon: remove the slots that do not exist first, then change directions.
Tap Done to leave that mode, then Save. Nothing is stored until you tap Save.

Remove bottle slots | Tap bottles in the model to switch those positions off — for the corners of a rack that do not really exist. On a cellar rack, pick Single Bottle or Full Depth first. Reset restores them. |
Change bottle direction | Tap one bottle in the model, then pick a direction for that bottle alone. Only the directions that fit the slot you tapped are offered. |
Remove Bins | The only option on a bin section. |
Removing a slot that holds a bottle pulls that bottle out — you are warned first, and it stays in your collection, only losing its position. Tick Show removed bottle slots to see what you switched off.
On Android and the web
