Navigating the Home Screen

A complete guide to every section, button, and shortcut on your InVintory home screen.

The home screen is your collection dashboard — a single place to see stats, take quick actions, and jump into any feature. Here's a detailed guide to every section and what it does.

The Header

At the very top of the home screen you'll find:

Collection Switcher Tap your collection name in the top left to switch between collections if you manage more than one.

Header Icons (Top Right)

  • Bell icon: Opens your Reminders. If you have pending reminders, a number badge will appear on the bell. Tap to view and manage them.

  • Question mark icon: Opens the Help Center where you can browse articles and find answers.

Search Bar

Tap Search all wines to open a universal search. This searches across your entire collection instantly — by wine name, producer, region, or vintage.

Collection Stats

Below the search bar, you'll see your key collection numbers at a glance:

  • Bottles: Total number of bottles currently in your collection

  • Market Value: Estimated total market value. Tap the three-dot info icon next to it for details on how it's calculated.

Quick Actions

Tap the + menu button to open the Quick Action menu. This gives you fast access to nine common tasks from a single panel:

  • Scan CellarSticker — Scan an NFC-enabled CellarSticker tag to locate a bottle instantly

  • Create menu — Generate a printable, restaurant-style wine list

  • Create delivery — Log an incoming wine shipment

  • Create list — Start a new Saved List

  • Search — Search your collection or the wine database

  • Add — Add a new bottle to your collection

  • Create review — Write a tasting note for any wine

  • Remove — Remove a bottle from your collection

  • Scan wine — Scan a label to identify and add a bottle

Customizing the Quick Action menu: Press and hold any action to enter rearrange mode, then drag actions into the order that works best for your workflow. Put the actions you use most at the top.

The + Add and — Remove buttons on the home screen open the Add Bottles and Remove Bottles screens directly without opening the full menu.

Ask Vincent Anything

The Ask Vincent anything bar at the bottom of the home screen gives you direct access to your AI wine sommelier. Tap the bar to open a text chat, or tap the microphone icon to use voice input.

When you use voice input, your message is transcribed and populated in the Vincent chat box before sending — giving you the chance to review and edit it before it goes to Vincent.

Ask Vincent anything: "What should I drink tonight?", "What pairs with lamb?", "Add the Billecart-Salmon I just bought to my collection," or "Which of my bottles are best through this year?"

Quick Filters

If you've created saved filters, they appear here as a horizontal row of tappable pills. Tap any filter to instantly view a filtered version of your collection without navigating to the Collection tab.

Tap Edit to manage, reorder, or delete your saved filters.

Cellars and Fridges

Your storage locations appear as cards. Each card shows the storage name and type, how many bottles are stored there, and how many slots are open.

Tap any card to open the storage detail view. Tap the three-dot menu > Edit next to the section header to rename the storage location. You can also manage the individual storage sections and view them in 3D.

If you have four or more storage locations, they display as a horizontally scrollable carousel. Swipe left and right to browse them.

Ready to Drink

The Ready to Drink section surfaces every bottle in your collection that is currently within its optimal drinking window. InVintory calculates drinking windows automatically for every bottle, and this section updates in real time as windows open and close.

Each card shows the wine name, how many bottles you have, and the drinking window. Tap All [X] btls in the top right to open your full Ready to Drink list, where every bottle is searchable and filterable by style, region, or varietal.

Deliveries

The Deliveries section shows your incoming wine shipments. Each delivery displays the merchant name, expected arrival date, and bottle count. Tap any delivery for full details, or tap Add New to log a new incoming shipment.

Saved Lists

Your curated wine lists appear as a horizontal carousel of cards. Tap any list to view or edit it. Tap View all to browse all your lists or create a new one.

Saved Lists are useful for organizing wines by occasion — dinner party picks, gift ideas, wines to try, or anything else you want to group.

Past Bottles

A scrollable row of recently consumed or removed bottles. Tap any bottle to see its full details, including when it was consumed and any tasting notes you left. Tap View all to see your complete history.

Recent Activity

Shows your most recent actions — bottles added, consumed, moved, or edited. Each entry shows the wine name, what happened, and when. Tap any activity to jump to that bottle's detail view, or tap View all for the full activity log.

Analytics

Further down the home screen you'll find shortcuts to your collection analytics — including bottles added, bottles consumed, spend over time, and more. Tap All next to any chart to change the time range. Tap the ... icon to access additional analytics options.

Tips

  • Everything is tappable: Every section header with a View all or Edit link takes you to a dedicated full view of that feature.

  • Pull to refresh: Pull down on the home screen to refresh all data.

  • Scroll order: Sections are arranged by how often you'll use them — stats and quick actions at the top, then storage, Ready to Drink, deliveries, and everything else below.
