When you're looking at a specific wine in your collection, you can ask Vincent for personalized advice about that exact bottle — pairings, serving tips, cellaring recommendations, and more.
How to Ask Vincent About a Wine
Open any wine from your collection (tap it in the Collection tab or search for it)
Tap Ask Vincent on the wine detail page
Choose from the suggested prompts or type your own question
Quick Prompts
Vincent offers four quick-prompt suggestions tailored to the wine you're viewing:
"Will I enjoy this wine?" — Vincent checks your taste profile and tells you what you'll love or dislike about this specific wine
"What should I pair with this?" — Food and occasion pairing suggestions for this wine
"Is this worth cellaring?" — Whether to drink now or hold, and the ideal drinking window
"How should I serve this?" — Ideal temperature, glass type, and decanting time
Tap any prompt to send it, or type your own question in the text field at the bottom. Vincent answers in the context of that specific wine.
Setting Your Taste Preferences
Vincent gives better recommendations when he knows your taste. In any chat, tap the Settings icon to open your preferences. Write a description of what you enjoy — favorite regions, preferred styles, budget range, or any other details. This is a free-text field, so describe your preferences however you like.
You can also toggle voice responses on or off from this screen.
Attaching Images
In any Vincent conversation, tap the + button to attach a photo. You can send:
A wine label for identification
A restaurant wine list for recommendations
A photo of a bottle for more context
Vincent will analyze the image and respond accordingly.
Conversation History
Vincent keeps a history of all your conversations. Tap the menu icon (top right of the chat) to see past chats, organized by date. Tap any previous conversation to continue it.
Tips
Use "Ask Vincent" on wine details — This is the most powerful way to use Vincent because he already has all the context about that specific wine.
Follow up — Vincent remembers the conversation, so you can ask follow-up questions like "What about a lighter alternative?" or "And for dessert?"
Message limits — Each new conversation counts as one chat against your plan's limit. Follow-ups within the same conversation don't use additional chats.
