How to Create Fridge Shelves:

On the iPhone & iPad App:

  1. On the homepage, scroll to the middle of the screen “Cellars & Fridges” and tap on the fridge you’ve already created.

  2. Scroll down to the “Sections” area and tap “Create.”

  3. Build your first shelf:

    • Enter a name for your shelf (it will default to “Shelf 1”).

    • Tap Continue.

  4. Choose a Shelf Type:

    • Flat – bottles lying flat side by side. This is ideal for alternating bottles.

    • Lattice – varied number of bottles per row

    • Horizontal – bottles lying flat, cork to one side

    • Vertical – bottles standing upright

    • Tilted – bottles upright and tilted back

    • Bin – no individual slots; an open space to hold unlimited bottles (will display a bottle count)

    • You can customize the layout later if your fridge has a mix of styles.

  5. Select Bottle Direction: Choose the most common direction, but know that you can adjust individual bottle directions later.

  6. Set Columns, Rows, and Depth: Tap each heading and use the + / - buttons to adjust the layout. You’ll see a live preview as you adjust.

  7. Customize Layout (Optional):
    Tap “Customize Layout” to:

    • Remove bottle slots

    • Change bottle directions
(Note: We use a grid system—changing bottle directions may remove nearby slots. If needed, add more columns/rows and remove any unnecessary slots.)

  8. Tap “Create” in the top right corner to finish, but you can edit this shelf anytime.

  9. View Your New Shelf:

    • Start adding bottles

    • Or tap Exit (top left) to return to the Fridge.

  10. Manage Your Shelf:
Back on the Fridge page, your shelf appears under “Sections.”
Tap the three dots beside it for options to:

    • Modify

    • Rename

    • Duplicate (great for adding similar shelves)

On the Desktop Site:

Once you've created a storage and are on its dedicated page (you can always navigate here via the left-hand menu), scroll down to the middle of the page to the "Storage Sections" subheading.

  1. Click +Create
Each shelf you add here will be a new section.

  2. Name Your Shelf
Enter a custom name, or stick with the default:
"Your Name Collection Shelf 1", "Shelf 2", etc.

  3. Choose a Shelf Type
You'll see preview images for each option. Shelf type options:

    • Flat – bottles lying flat side by side. This is ideal for alternating bottles.

    • Lattice – varied number of bottles per row

    • Horizontal – bottles lying flat, cork to one side

    • Vertical – bottles standing upright

    • Tilted – bottles upright and tilted back

    • Bin – no individual slots; an open space to hold unlimited bottles (will display a bottle count)

    • You can customize the layout later if your fridge has a mix of styles.

  4. Click Next
Use the + and buttons to set the width, height, and depth of your shelf. You’ll see a live preview as you adjust.

  5. Set Cork Direction
Choose which direction you’d like the corks to face.

  6. (Optional) Customize Layout
You can remove individual slots or change bottle orientations using the "Customize Layout" button. (Note: We use a grid system—changing bottle directions may remove nearby slots. If needed, add more columns/rows and remove any unnecessary slots.)

  7. Click Done

  8. View Your New Shelf

Start adding bottles directly to it. Or tap Exit (top left) to return to the Fridge view

From the left-hand menu, you can always add more bottles. You can also click the three-dot menu (top right) to modify or duplicate the shelf.
