How to track wine deliveries

Create deliveries to track incoming wine shipments, then mark them as received to add bottles to your collection.

The Deliveries feature lets you keep track of wine shipments that are on their way to you. When they arrive, mark them as received and the bottles are automatically added to your collection.

Deliveries is a Premium feature. You'll need an active InVintory subscription to create and manage deliveries.

Creating a New Delivery

To create a delivery, go to the Deliveries section on the home screen and tap Create new.

Delivery Details

Fill in the information about your incoming shipment:

  • Source (required) — Where the wine is coming from (wine shop, winery, online retailer, auction house, etc.)

  • Storage destination (required) — Which cellar or fridge the bottles should go to when they arrive

  • Delivery date — When you expect the shipment to arrive

  • Purchase date — When you placed the order

  • Tracking number — A reference number for tracking the shipment

  • Notes — Any additional details about the order

  • Invoice — Attach a photo of the receipt or invoice (from camera, photo library, or files)

Tap Next to create the delivery. You'll then be prompted to add bottles to it.

Adding Bottles to a Delivery

After creating a delivery, search for the wines you ordered and add them — the same way you'd normally add bottles. These bottles will be marked as "in transit" until the delivery arrives.

Viewing Your Deliveries

Home screen Deliveries section showing a pending delivery with wine details

Pending deliveries appear on the home screen in the Deliveries section. Tap View all to see the full deliveries list.

The deliveries list has two tabs:

  • Pending — Shipments that haven't arrived yet

  • Delivered — Shipments you've already received

At the top, you'll see a summary with total deliveries, bottle count, market value, and purchase value.

Marking a Delivery as Received

When your wine arrives, open the delivery and tap Mark Delivered. This:

  1. Moves the delivery from "Pending" to "Delivered"

  2. Adds all the bottles to your selected storage location

  3. Updates your collection counts and values

You can also swipe left on a delivery in the list and tap Delivered for a quick mark.

Tip: You can select individual bottles and mark them as delivered, rather than the entire order. This works well for partial deliveries.

Managing Deliveries

In a delivery, you can tap the three-dot menu next to Mark Delivered and tap Edit Delivery to open the delivery detail view. From the delivery detail view, you can edit the:

  • Delivery Source

  • Purchase Date

  • Delivery Date

  • Destination

  • Invoice

  • Tracking Number

  • Delivery Notes

From the three-dot menu, you can also select Add Bottles to add additional wines to a pending delivery, or Delete Delivery to remove the delivery entirely.

Tips

  • Create deliveries when you order — Log the delivery right when you purchase, so you don't forget what's coming.

  • Attach invoices — Take a photo of your receipt so you always have a record of what you paid.

  • Set delivery dates — The home screen shows upcoming deliveries with their expected dates so you know what to expect.

  • Bulk management — In the full deliveries list, you can select multiple deliveries and mark them all as delivered at once.
